As
we prepare to celebrate the 2nd Annual Shonto
Celebration, we want to commemorate and honor our future
leaders, the Shonto Youth. We welcome our youth, their
parents, grandparents, participating sponsors, contestants and
vendors to the Shonto Community.
The
theme for the 2nd Annual Shonto Celebration is “Invigorating
Dine’ Youth through the traditional way of life". We
believe that our Shonto youth must make many difficult decisions
while remaining true to their education, history, beliefs and
culture. Therefore; we are proud to bring to you this
year’s event with that inspiration in mind.
We
encourage you as well to remember Dine’ traditions have always
included care of livestock, sports competition and that rodeo is
a modern way of life. This is a way to showcase our school
and it’s accomplishments over the years.
Your
contribution as a participant, spectator, volunteer, sponsor and
advertiser is greatly appreciated. Please join me in
